Starting August 2016 we began working with Taata Kids in Mbale Uganda. This amazing organization is committed to rebuilding the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in all of Africa. In their community in Uganda they run a school, a church, and a women's resource center. One of the ways that Harmony and Desire will be assisting is in raising donations for the most needy of the children who attend their school. It is a child sponsorship program much like those ran by WorldVision and Save The Children. However, since we are a small and an all volunteer organization, we have no operating expenses. Therefore you can be assured that ALL of the money you donate will go directly to the child. Donors will receive updates about how their money was spent. In a country where 82% of the population earns less than a dollar a day, your money will go very far. Typically the money will be used for basic necessities such as food, clothes, and school supplies. You can make a big difference in the lives of these children with even a very small donation.
